Welcome to St Andrew's, Leyland

Canon David Gibb For over 1000 years people have been meeting on our site, asking the deep questions of life and discovering satisfying answers in Jesus Christ.

Today, people of all ages and different backgrounds continue to meet with us Sunday by Sunday and midweek too. As you browse this website you'll see there's all sorts that goes on; activities and groups for all ages and stages of life.
We're certainly not perfect and we don't have all the answers, but we seek to be:

a Welcoming church - where people matter, because they matter to God, whether they're sceptics, enquirers or believers.
a Parish church - that loves our town and its people, and serves it as best we can.
a Christian church - where knowing and following Jesus, the one who shows God to us, is what excites and drives us.
an Anglican church - which holds to the '39 Articles of Religion' and joins with the millions who stand in the same tradition around the world.
an Evangelical church - where God speaks to us as we open up the Bible, and find in its pages power, purpose & God himself.

Maybe you're looking for somewhere to belong, for honest friendships, for somewhere to come and ask questions and work through what life is about.
