Sunday Service - Sunday 10th May

On Sunday we are looking forward to worshipping together even though we can't physically be together in the same building, at 10.30am we will broadcast our service online.

Please find below the service information, including song lyrics so you can follow and join in wherever you are, alternatively click here for the service sheet.

If you have one, it would be good to have a Bible close to hand, for the reading which is 1 Peter 1:13-21 , or you can access the Bible reading online here

10.30am Sunday 10th May

Welcome and Introduction
Opening Prayer:
ALL: O give thanks unto the Lord for he is gracious and his mercy endureth forever. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give the praise. For thy loving mercy and for thy truth's sake. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God. He heard my voice out of his holy temple, and my cry came even unto His ears. Let them give thanks whom the Lord hath redeemed and delivered from the hands of the enemy.
Song: Holy Holy Holy

1.Holy holy holy
Lord God Almighty
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to Thee
Holy holy holy
Merciful and mighty
God in three persons
Blessed Trinity
2.Holy holy holy
All the saints adore Thee
Casting down their golden crowns
Around the glassy sea
Cherubim and seraphim
Falling down before Thee
Which wert and art
And evermore shalt be
3.Holy holy holy
Though the darkness hide Thee
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see
Only Thou art holy
There is none beside Thee
Perfect in power
In love and purity
4.Holy holy holy
Lord God Almighty
All Thy works shall praise Thy name
In earth and sky and sea
Holy holy holy
Merciful and mighty
God in three persons
Blessed Trinity
John Bacchus Dykes | Reginald Heber
ALL: Almighty God, long-suffering and of great goodness: We confess to you, We confess with our whole heart our neglect and forgetfulness of your commandments, our wrong doing, thinking, and speaking; the hurts we have done to others,
and the good we have left undone. O God, forgive us, for we have sinned against you; and raise us to newness of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Bible Reading:- 1 Peter 1:13-21
Our Lord Jesus Christ was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for our sake. Through him we believe God, who raised Jesus from the dead and glorified him, and so our faith and hope are in God.
Song: Refiner’s Fire
1.Purify my heart
Let me be as gold
And precious silver
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold
Pure gold

Refiner's fire
My heart's one desire
Is to be holy
Set apart for You Lord
I choose to be holy
Set apart for You my Master
Ready to do Your will

2.Purify my heart
Cleanse me from within
And make me holy
Purify my heart
Cleanse me from my sin
Deep within
